2024, a great year for Alcaraz?

First of all, best wishes of health and success for 2024 to our readers.

Carlitos, has he become a strategist for this exciting new tennis season?

The rising tennis star has been preparing for the Australian Open 2024 with a well-thought-out approach.

After missing the 2023 edition due to a knee injury, Alcaraz is keen to make a strong comeback. To minimize the risk of injury, he has decided not to take part in the tournaments leading up to the Australian Open, concentrating instead on training and achieving optimum condition for the Grand Slam event.

After a vacation with friends in the Dominican Republic and specific training at the Juan Ferrero Academy, Carlitos took part in several exhibition matches, including a victory over Novak Djokovic in Saudi Arabia.

Fresh from his training, Carlitos is full of fighting spirit, as demonstrated by his interview in the daily Le Figaro, with his sights set on this tournament and the next Grand Chlems, as well as the Olympic tournament.

Prior to his departure for Australia, the Murcia native was presented with a superb gift from one of his regular sponsors, the LVMH group, which gave him a personalized briefcase. Carlitos was able to include items that mean a great deal to him, such as his 1st trophy, won at the age of 10, and his Babolat racket, which he takes with him to every match.

Having arrived in Melbourne full of ambitions, he has already been training with Norwegian Casper Ruud. He intends to fine-tune his preparation so as to be at the top of his game for this 1st major event of the 2024 season.

The competition promises to be equally tough, and we'll come back to that later. The only major disappointment is the absence of Rafael Nadal, who has returned to Spain after another injury.

We look forward to a great season for Alcaraz, and will be following the world number 2 step by step.

Vamos Carlitos!

Julien
