As an astute and sometimes sulphurous commentator, the genial left-hander and former world number 1 has nothing but praise for Carlitos Alcaraz, who has put himself in a position to be talked about in the same way as Djokovic and Nadal. He's the best player I've ever seen at his age. He'd like to see an American perform well at the US Open 2023, which starts on Monday, but he wouldn't mind another Alcaraz -Djokovic duel.
