Mobility: one of Carlitos' great strengths

Here's another Carlos Alcaraz in the USOpen 1/4-finals after his clear-cut 3-set victory over Italy's Arnaldi. The Spaniard once again played a serious match, and his concentration was evident throughout. Let's take this opportunity to underline one of Carlitos' great strengths: his footwork and mobility.

Alcaraz is known for his speed and agility on the court. He is able to move quickly from one side of the court to the other to reach balls and hit them with precision. His well-balanced stance enables him to maintain his position on the court while being able to change direction quickly. His ability to move quickly and change direction is a major asset to his game, enabling him to cover more ground and hit more difficult shots, including improbable ones. As former player Alex Corretja explains: "His footwork allows him to float, dance or fly around the court". A bit like a boxer, but he also runs very fast.
